This place is so lovely; I could spend weeks here in the house. It is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed the food. It was extremely pleasant to be on the swinging chair and watch the birds on the river. Its really calming and peaceful. Enjoyed the semi out-door shower! It was fun and different, and the stones around the shower tiles are very pretty….. Thank you for the excellent and kind service and for hosting us. This place is one of the finest we saw in india. It’s so quiet here and the nature is so pure! The morning's first view through the window - is the river with whole lots of different chirping birds on the trees. Then the safari on the jeep through the old forest was really an Adventure! It was a pleasure to spend our time together with Jose and his staff. Thank you for the kind hospitality and the very nice Kerala food. It was a great pleasure to be the initial guest at Periyar River Lodge. I am thankful to the kind hospitality extended by Eldho, Rithika, Jose and Reji during my stay. The country boat & bamboo boat rides, the trek into the forest, looking for wild animals and a glimpse into the local farming/agriculture were all memorable experiences.
